BELACHE WILL BID FAREWELL TO SOUTHERN ILLINOIS
24 OCTOBER 2007
Karina Belache, long-time Saluki coach
and athlete, has accepted a position of Executive Meeting Manager at the

Belache swam with the Saluki Racing Team
for about 4 months after she arrived in the United States from her native
Brazil in 2000. In January 2001 she became a member of the SIU women's

Center. We are sorry to see her leave southern Illinois but wish her the
best of luck in all future endeavors.

EXECUTIVE INN WILL HOST PADUCAH SWIMFEST IN JANUARY
05 OCTOBER 2007
Good news for Saluki racing fans: The
Executive Inn will once again play host to the popular Paducah Swimfest in
January! This is one of the most popular meets on our calendar for our
younger athletes. The Executive Inn serves as host to over 400 athletes and
their families with the pool smack in the middle of the atrium area of the
hotel. Obviously this makes attending the meet a substantially different
experience from the typical USA meet.
As always, prompt registration for this
meet is critical. Our deadline for registering for this meet is set at 1
November. If you want to attend this meet be sure to
register by then.
