Saluki Swim Club Finishes Fourth in the 2011 Saluki International                 May, 2011

             Last weekend Fifty-four Saluki Swim Club swimmers competed in the 2011 Saluki International.  Saluki Swim Club finished fourth out of 17 teams.  As a team Saluki Swim Club swimmers achieved 80 B, 103 BB, 43 A, 13 AA, and 5 AAA times.  Twenty- five Saluki swimmers achieved 107 Ozark Championship qualifying times and 3 Saluki swimmers achieved 6 Sectional Championship qualifying times.  Saluki Swim Club swimmers achieved best times in 79% of their races.  Cody Bailey set a new team record in the 800 free for 13-14 boys.  Kelsie Walker set new team records in 400 free, 800 free, and 400 IM for the 15-16 girls.  Cody Bailey, Stephen Cohen, Camille Davis, Ryan Hall, Trevor Jones, Calvin Kolar, Jerry Kuhnert, Austyn Sigler, and Kelsie Walker swam times fast enough to add their names to the Saluki Top 5.  Saluki swimmers who qualified for the Ozark Championship included:  Bethany Akinduro, Aidan Anthony, Cody Bailey, Emma Chvatal, Sara Coello, Stephen Cohen, Camille Davis, Ethan Edwards, Ryan Hall, Trevor Jones, Calvin Kolar, Ashlee Kuan, Cameron Kuan, Jerry Kuhnert, Luke Lauzon, Caseton Luthy, Darlene Sao, Austyn Sigler, Bella Snyder, Jacob Stone, Emily Stroud, Elizabeth Tang, Steven Thompson, Kelsie Walker, and Joyce Yang.  Saluki swimmers who qualified for the Sectional Championships included:  Camille Davis, Calvin Kolar, and Kelsie Walker.

            Saluki Swim Club swimmers who finished in the top 16 in individual events included:  Bethany Akinduro (10 years old) – 3^rd in the 50 breast, 9^th in the 100 breast, 10^th in the 50 free, 12^th in the 100 and 200 free, and 14^th in the 200 IM;  Aidan Anthony (11 years old) – 9^th in the 50 free, 12^th in the 200 free, 13^th in the 50 back, and 15^th in the 100 free and 100 back;  Cody Bailey (14 years old) – 2^nd in the 800 free, 3^rd in the 400 free, 4^th in the 200 free, 6^th in the 100 and 200 fly, 7^th in the 200 back, 13^th in the 50 free, 14^th in the 100 free and 200 IM, and 15^th in the 100 back;  Rhea Bhaumik (10 years old) – 16^th in the 200 free; Emma Chvatal (10 years old) – 3^rd in the 400 free, 9^th in the 100 fly and 200 IM, 11^th in the 100 free, 14^th in the 100 back, and 15^th in the 50 free;  Amelia Coello (13 years old) – 16^th in the 800 free;  Sara Coello (15 years old) – 13^th in the 200 fly and 15^th in the 100 fly and 800 free;  Stephen Cohen (18 years old) – 4^th in the 100 breast, 9^th in the 50 free, and 13^th in the 800 free;  Camille Davis (17 years old ) – 1^st in the 100 and 200 back, 5^th in the 400 free, 8^th in the 100 fly, 9^th in the 200 free, 10^th in the 100 free, 12^th in the 200 IM;  Lucas Davis (11 years old) – 14^th in the 200 free; Ryan Hall (17 years old) – 11^th in the 400 IM, 14^th in the 100 fly, and 16^th in the 800 free and 200 fly;  Danny Henley (13 years old ) – 9^th in the 200 back;  Trevor Jones (14 years old) -4^th in the 50 free, 5^th in the 200 back, 10^th in the 100 back, 11^th in the 100 free, 12^th in the 200 free, and 14^th in the 100 fly;  Calvin Kolar (18 years old) – 1^st in the 100 and 200 breast, 4^th in the 50 and 100 free, 5^th in the 200 IM, 6^th in the 100 fly, 12^th in the 100 back and 16^th in the 400 free;  Ashlee Kuan (14 years old) – 7^th in the 400 IM, 11^th in the 800 free, 14^th in the 200 breast, and 16^th in the 400 free;  Cameron Kuan (11 years old) – 5^th in the 50 free, 7^th in the 100 and 200 free, 10^th in the 50 back, 200 IM, 50 and 100 breast, and 12^th in the 100 back;  Jerry Kuhnert (14 years old) – 3^rd in the 100 breast, 4^th in the 200 breast, 6^th in the 400 IM, 7^th in the 200 IM, 8^th in the 50 free, 10^th in the 100 free, 11^th in the 200 free, 13^th in the 100 back, 15^th in the 400 free;  Luke Lauzon (11 years old) – 5^th in the 400 free, 7^th in the 100 fly, 9^th in the 200 free, 10^th in the 50 free and fly, 11^th in the 50 breast and 200 IM, 12^th in the 100 free, and 13^th in the 100 breast;  Raymond Li (9 years old) – 13^th in the 200 free;  Deven Madhani (10 years old) – 12^th in the 200 free;  Abbey Oehlsen (11 years old) – 10^th in the 400 free; Darlene Sao (17 years old) -1^st in the 50 free, 6^th in the 400 IM, 9^th in the 100 breast, 10^th in the 400 free and 200 breast, and  11^th in the 200 IM;  Austyn Sigler (17 years old) – 5^th in the 100 breast and 7^th in the 200 breast; Bella Snyder (9 years old) – 2^nd in the 400 free, 5^th in the 100 fly, 6^th in the 50 breast, 8^th in the 200 IM and 100 breast, 12^th in the 50 free, 13^th in the 50 back, and 15^th in the 50 fly;  Jacob Stone (13 years old) – 8^th in the 100 breast, 9^th in the 50, 200, and 400 free, and 12^th in the 100 free and 200 breast;  Emily Stroud (15 years old) – 11^th in the 400 free, 14^th in the 100 back, and 15^th in the 200 back;  David Szoke (12 years old) – 15^th in the 200 free;  Elizabeth Tang (10 years old) – 8^th in the 100 fly, 10^th in the 50 back, and 13^th in the 200 IM; Carrie Thompson (13 years old) – 14^th in the 800 free;  Steven Thompson (11 years old) – 7^th in the 50 fly, 10^th in the 100 fly, 11^th in the 200 free, and 13^th in the 200 IM;  Kelsie Walker (15 years old) – 1^st in the 400 IM, 100, 400, and 800 free, 2^nd in the 200 free, 3^rd in the 200 fly, 6^th in the 100 fly, 7^th in the 200 back, 8^th in the 200 IM, and 11^th in the 100 back;  Sadie Whiles (10 years old ) – 15^th in the 200 free and IM, and 16^th in the 50 breast; Daniel Yang (13 years old) – 16^th in the 100 fly; Joyce Yang (9 years old) – 1^st in the 50 breast, 4^th in the 100 breast, 6^th in the 50 back, 7^th in the 50 free, 10^th in the 50 fly, and 14^th in the 100 free.
