Welcome to Carbondale, Illinois! The headquarters (Saluki HQ) of the Saluki Swim Club is in Carbondale, Illinois. Saluki uses two pools on the campus of Southern Illinois University to conduct its programs.
Student Recreation Center
The Shea Natatorium is located in the (SRC) at Southern Illinois University Student Recreation Center. It is 50m x 25yds with 10 long course lanes or 16 short course lanes. In either configuration there is a continuous warm-up area available throughout competitions. There is off-deck seating for 500 spectators and lots of on-deck space for swimmers. The pool is the site for all Saluki hosted competitions. Pulliam Pool Pulliam pool located in Pulliam Hall, Carbondale, IL. Often referred to as the fastest indoor, 5-lane pool in the world, Pulliam is the training ground for many younger Saluki swimmers and the site of the Saluki Swim School during the summer months. Directions to Pulliam: Turn onto Mill street from the SR-51. Turn left at the second stop sign. Pulliam Hall is the first building you see on the right. |
