Jul 31, 2012 |
Saluki Swim Club Families,
As you may or may not know SIU is closing Pulliam Hall Pool. We are currently working out the final details on practice times and pool space for Saluki Swim Club. We are very close to having everything set for Fall. Obviously, registration paperwork, schedules, and details are delayed this year with all the changes. I plan to mail the 2012-2013 paperwork out later this week and you should be able to register for the Fall session by next week. Thank you for your patience as we work to move all of our programs to the Rec Center. I know that many of you have questions regarding the logistics of how the program will work at the Rec Center. I will address these issues in the near future as soon as I have all the answers. Again many of these things are being discussed with SIU and there will be delays. Please know that we will provide Saluki Swim Club programs at the Rec Center and for the most part they will be on a similar schedule to years past.
Saluki Swim Club is currently on its summer break and we will begin the Fall session on August 20. We will offer the first session of swim school beginning in September. The swim school schedule will be posted as soon as it is finalized with SIU. The Saluki Swim Club office will be closed from August 6-12 so the coaching staff can take a much needed break.
Finally, If you have friends or know of other families who missed the evaluation in July, please let them know there will be an opportunity to participate in an evaluation in August after we return on August 20.
Again thank you for your patience and understanding as we experience these changes. While the move to the Rec Center will bring about some challenges, I truly believe that it will also greatly benefit us in the years to come. We will finally have the opportunity to practice daily as a team!
